Gard has elected Morten W Høegh to the board of its Bermuda-based P&I operations.
Høegh is chairman of international shipping company Höegh LNG.
He succeeds Bengt Hermelin who has held the position since 2013.
Alongside Høegh, Michael Lykiardopulo of Neda Maritime Agency Company has been elected as new deputy chairman to the board at Gard.
“I would like to thank Bengt for the skill, experience and energy he has given to Gard since he took over the post in 2013,” Rolf Thore Roppestad, CEO of Gard, said.
“His leadership has been an important part in this phase of Gard’s development and in building the business that we have today,” he went on.
“We are pleased that Morten has accepted the chairmanship of Gard P& I (Bermuda) and look forward to working with him and Michael as we look towards our 2025 goals.”
