CNA finance chief Craig Mense will step down from his role at the end of 2018 after nearly 15 years at the firm, the company announced today.

He will be replaced by James Andersen, who currently serves as head of financial planning & analysis and corporate development.

The carrier’s chairman and CEO Dino Robusto praised Mense’s contribution to the company under both his leadership and that of two of his predecessors.

“Craig has made countless contributions to the success of CNA and he will be missed. Craig’s enduring legacy is evidenced in the financial strength of our company,” he said.

“His steadfast, disciplined leadership has built lasting market confidence and influenced the many employees who have learned from him.”

Mense added, “I am proud of what the Company and its employees have accomplished during my time here and am excited about the bright future that CNA now has in front of it.”
