Swiss Re’s UK and Ireland head Frank O’Neill is to leave the reinsurance giant next week.
O’Neill has been with Swiss Re for two decades, holding a number of roles globally with the carrier.
Before he took to the helm of the business unit in 2016, O’Neill was head of Africa and the Middle East at the carrier, having previously been regional head for South East Asia and client executive in North America.
Peter Elliott, the current head of life and health for UK and Ireland at Swiss Re will take on O’Neill’s responsibilities on an interim basis while the search for a successor gets underway.
“I would like to thank Frank for his tremendous commitment and contribution to Swiss Re over the last 20 years,” Russell Higginbotham, CEO reinsurance EMEA at Swiss Re said.
